Assemblies in Spain cost upwards of €600 but Jah never made sure we had enough euros to attend even though we piosneered and prayed and never missed a meeting and were nice to everyone. Until that happened I thought they were mandtory and not optional,
We were not the only family that couldn't afford all of them. A much more loving provision would have been if instead of flying to Tenerife and Lanzarote or Gran Canaria they had them on our island once in a while and we all shared the cost.

has anyone ever thought about paying for a billboard close to either an assembly hall or a kingdom hall during memorial season?
for instance i would probably pay for a billboard for a week or 2 displaying jwfacts.com on the highway or a nearby road that witnesses travel on heavily.
has anyone ever tried something like this?.

a few years ago i became interested in the subject of neuro-linguistic programming (nlp).
while the core concepts of nlp have been largely discredited as new-age pseudo-science, there is no doubt that there is at least some validity to the idea.
words and images remain the key way we communicate.
It's not wrong implies that although it is wrong it is also understandable so might be excused as a weakness but by saying something is right would imply it is perfectly ok and acceptable which they could not endorse if it is something that may distract from being unquestioningly obedient to the bOrg.
so this morning we flirt and i tell her what a "dirty girl" she is for buying those books...but i was thinking this from a girl who broke a frying pan on my car years ago because i didnt want to go to the meetings.
slowly i wore down that rock that she is with little facts and qoutes...i would not have stayed with her if she remained the fanatic witness she was....also she now swears like a sailor...i like that..

I know and accept the society is wrong and I wanted you to be right in that it was a simple and irrefutable way to prove it. I was highlighting the Insight's faulty explanation and that a still in dub would blindly accept it . x
i posted a link on fb that lead to a topic here.
i then had one of my 'friends' start having a go about how bitter everyone is here....fact he said.
(he used to be a jw elder but left a while back, not sure why he left or if he has even researched the faith since leaving) the more i tried to reason with him that actually it is a support forum, the more he lashed out that everyone here bad mouths the jw's and only attack the jw's.
To an extent but it wasn't all bad.
Finding out it was all a lie is a shock and bound to leave a nasty taste, how can it not?
though it is true that one conversation or one jw bombshell will unlikely rock a member from the cult, we are all here as a result of leaving or realising the lies we were fed, doubtless all the bombshells we heard or considered contributed to us leaving.. there seems to be a lot of apathy here at the moment that facts and information are not enough to convince a jw of the lies in watchtower.. this is not true.
even if one missile does not bring down the wall, it contributes to its fall.. information empowers people, it is the most valuble asset in the war on cults.
it may not sink the boat immediatly, but we know it springs leaks.
I agree that little seeds of doubt can be put on the back burner, sometimes for years.
It may not even be that seed that initiates the doubts but once any doubt is entertained others can be re-visited which ignites more curiosity and research that will inevitable lead to discoveries of the lies, disingenuousness and duplicity of WTBT$.
